Jubilee has been staying up all night since as long as anyone can remember. She grew up in South Florida on the sounds of Miami bass, freestyle and Dirty Southern rap. By the time she moved to New York City D&B was already becoming a gateway drug to a love of other UK underground styles such as grime, garage, dubstep and UK funky. All these influences can be heard on Jubilee’s debut album 2016s After Hours which, through her use of 808s, 909s and a bubblin’ bashment cut featuring HoodCelebrityy, cemented her sound on the map. Following a year-long guest residency on BBC Radio 1, Jubilee released her sophomore album, 2019’s Call For Location, another collection of late-night anthems and drum machine workouts that established her sound further. As well as developing her skills as a producer, Jubilee has toured bucket list cities across the globe, headlining slots at European festivals, playing gigs all over from New Zealand to Brazil and taking stage alongside her Mixpak Records family at Red Bull Culture Clash in London. Constantly on the lookout for new sounds and influences, she has remixed the likes of Tommy Genesis, Anna Lunoe, Ted When and Soul Clap. Additionally, her compilation series; Magic City, has now grown into a record label which allows her to release her own productions as well as bring the sounds she loves to the forefront. Recent releases on the label include Jubilee’s own “don’t play this”, which incorporated hard hitting kick drums with self-proclaimed “weird” vocals, as well as Astrolith’s “Yo Ma” ft. Cakes da Killa & Leikeli47, an amalgam of rap, club culture and many other influences. By hosting regular parties across New York and taking her label to Europe and beyond, Jubilee leads by example with every venture, bringing people and culture together to help shape the community she cares about.
