Slap is an ongoing collaborative research project amongst four artists engaging in improvisation, where creativity happens in the moment of the encounter (Sawyer, 2006). Through exploration of similarities and differences between the two disciplines, the traditional roles of dancers and musicians are broken down in order to express collectively the group’s ideas as improvising artists.
